About Us

Amsleys Customs represents the third generation of automotive collision repair and restoration. Larry's father, Carl Amsley was a renowned Stanley Steamer expert and rebuilder. Larry began his restoration business in 1968 and gained national recognition in 1971 when a 1912 Columbia he restored won 'best restoration of the year' from the Eastern division of the Antique Auto Club of America.

By 1980 he had won the Pebble Beach Concourse twice and began looking for another challenge. In 1982 he began a new phase in the business by being one of the few leading edge collision repair shops to offer frame repair services for unitized body vehicles. The business continued to grow by continuing to innovate and improve with the marketplace.

Bill grew up in the business but officially came on board in 1994 and his expert painting skills brought in a wide variety of custom work. In 2003 Bill received national exposure when a '65 VW convertible with some tasteful customization was featured in Hot VW's magazine.
